Save Time Buying a Car with an Auto Broker

colorado test drives
Have you ever spent a lot of time researching cars online only to be disappointed by the reality of the car when you test drive it?

It’s especially frustrating when you’ve spent multiple hours at the dealership and continue to get the hard sell after you’ve left the lot disappointed.

What if you could test drive your favorite cars (no matter the make or model) in one, easy trip?

Rather than spend the time jumping from one dealership to another, why not enjoy a no-hassle visit to my office and jump from one car to another in a single trip? I can do this for both new and used vehicles.

As an auto broker in the Denver area, I work hard to make sure I save my clients the headaches and large amount of time normally spent during the car buying process.

The average car buyer will spend 20-25 hours researching and visiting dealerships to find both the right car and the best deal. I work to cut out 90% of that time while also ensuring we find the exact, perfect car for their needs at the best price.

Buying or leasing your next car shouldn’t be riddled with uncertainty and second-guessing after the purchase. My clients can feel happy with their car purchase knowing we have covered all the bases and have provided them with the right car.

No matter which car or truck is right for you, I’m always researching and test driving cars on the market so I can provide complete, informed information about the full list of what is available. After all, there are 270 models of car offered in the U.S. each year and there is one that is right for you.

Choices, Choices, Choices: Finding the Perfect Car for You

using an auto broker to find the perfect car

We live in a wonderful time where we can choose from 20 different kinds of pasta sauce and thousands of kinds of shoes.

For instance, there are around 270 different models of cars currently in production for 2013 (not to count all the used cars on the market).

How do you know which one is right for you?

While there is a wealth of online data and opinions about every make and model of car - none of that information is directly tailored to your needs as a car owner.

The question I want to answer with each of my clients is this: What is your perfect car?

Time for a confession: I am a huge car nut. I spend nearly every waking moment learning and reading about cars (you can quiz me if you want, I don't mind). As an auto broker, I also have the benefit of seeing how people use cars in real life. What may look good on paper does not always mean it's the perfect car for you. It's my job to distill all of this information and help you come up with a short-list of ideal cars for your lifestyle and budget.

I’m happy to spend as much or as little time as you need working with you to come up with your top choices. Once we have your top two or three vehicles, I can provide you with back-to-back test drives so you can make a clear choice.

Imagine how much time and hassle this saves you. Instead of driving to two or three different dealerships and spending anywhere from four to six hours in a day, you can swing by my office and test drive all the vehicles and be out in under an hour.

We all have choices, my goal is to provide you with all options without overwhelming you. I want my clients to drive away smiling, knowing that they are in their perfect car.

Refinance Your Auto Loan (AKA: Wanna Save A Thousand Bucks?)

save money with an auto broker

Auto loan rates are low (crazy low)

This sounds boring right? Why would you care if you already have a car?

Let me take a minute to tell you why this matters to you.

Did you know that with an auto broker you can refinance your pre-existing car loan and save $500, $700 or even $1000?  This is similar to refinancing your mortgage but even more simple.

Why?

Unlike a home loan, you can refinance an auto loan and you don’t have to put any money down on the new loan. There are no financing costs, but there can be drastic savings in interest.

As an auto broker at H.M. Brown, I have access to over 120 different banks and credit unions for financing and can often get a lower rate at your own bank than you could.

The same goes for refinancing. Very recently I have found that a few of my banks offer refinancing options that can often cut interest rates in half of what people are currently paying.

Here is a hypothetical loan for someone who still owes $25,000 on their car.:

Let’s say they have a 3.49% interest rate and have about five years (60 months) left on their loan. If you have very good credit, I’m often getting interest rates down to at least 1.99% for the same length.

Making the switch through me (this rate is not offered to the general public) would provide you $1,022 in interest savings.

The Truth Behind All Those Dealer Fees

Avoid "slick" car dealers like this guy

Have you ever been enticed into a dealership because of a car advertised online (or in the newspaper) that had a fantastic low price? What happened when you arrived at the dealership to check out this car?

Odds are that if you went with a traditional dealership the "fantastic low price" quickly escalated once a myriad of dealer fees were added. It can be like pulling teeth to find out what the total price of your car will cost after add-ons, hidden costs and interest after financing.  Sure, they may try to lure you with negotiating a lower monthly payment, or lower the sticker price but that just means they are likely disguising their profits elsewhere in your deal.

Fees like dealership handling fees (usually around $500 in the Denver metro area) and exorbitantly overpriced add-ons (like a $300 carpet treatment) have become the norm at traditional car dealerships.
I believe this kind of pricing is deceptive, but many car buyers have come to expect this kind of experience from dealers.

Shouldn’t this process change? Why can’t there be an alternative to this headache-inducing car dealership shell game?

I’m sure you can see where I am going with this: Yes, this process can change and you can get rid of the headache of these hidden fees.

As an auto broker, I work with and for my clients to find the best bang-for-the-buck option while providing clear, upfront pricing with no additional fees. I do not charge a dealership handling fee and I pre-negotiate very aggressive pricing with the best dealerships in Colorado. Because I work with H.M. Brown, we have the leverage and power to negotiate better prices than private individuals can.

Just like at car dealerships, I am compensated for my services, but unlike them, I provide you with a single price that includes my compensation (much like a Realtor would).

Wouldn’t you rather save the time and headaches involved with the dealership shopping process and choose to work with someone who is able to shop with your needs in mind? I can find new or used cars anywhere and have unparalleled access to cars and financing compared to any other option in Colorado.
